Eastern Carribean Cruise - Miami Trip

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line: What I didn't like:
Possibly the size of the ship being small, but room beds were uncomfortable(hard, was feeling pain in my sides sleeping on them after a couple hours). Room temperature fluctuated, as it was nice a cool in the room first few days, but then room temperature got warm, and could not adjust thermostat any cooler, which didn't help with the uncomfortable bed. Room was right below the pool/restaurant area, and could hear every person stomping, running, or rolling carts over the floor. Shower was incredibly small, smacked walls every time tried to move. TV channels for news reports kept locking up all day every day, so was hard to follow what was going on in the world.
The buffet area was always cluttered, and only had one way in or out, and hard to move around. Being told to wash my hands every time I entered the buffet was becoming annoying. Spas on the top deck blocked most of the view of the movie screen, so either had to sit very close to the screen, or far away. Finding lemonade/ice tea was a crap shoot at the dispensing stations, sometimes they would only have one or the other, or sometimes neither, and half the time there was one, it was watered down/out. Ice cream dispensing was only one station, which had to be worked by someone(not self serve), and always got a little scoop on a cone, and had to go back 2 to 3 times, even asking for larger portion, was ignored when I asked for more in a single serving.
Some events were hard to find(example Chinese medicine info was not labeled/displayed(inviting), and couldn't find it). First night at anytime dinner, made request, was told to wait out in lobby, 30 minutes later, after several other folks were asked to wait out in lobby, and someone came to call them in, I went back up to desk to ask how much longer, to be told they cancelled me because they couldn't find me, when I had been sitting out in the same place other folks were the entire time, was quite frustrating.
Being on other cruises before, just felt like this wasn't as "friendly" of a cruise as I am used too, and again, could be the smaller ship size and the way things are done to support it. Next try will be on a larger ship to see if there is the same difference I am used too or not to know for sure.
Roya Caribbean Cruise Line: What I did like:
Checkin process was impressively fast, and well done/structured. James was great at taking care of our room, and trying to accommodate our situation with the bedding as we tried something different almost every night to make things work. Was awesome having a water heater/coffee maker in the room. Multiple outlets in the room was great.
Anytime dinner worked out fine after the first night, kept being sat in Hongjie section, which her and Stanmore rocked it, and never forgot about anything we asked or needed. Food was delicious, and nice variety on the menu. Definitely was the best event looked forward too on the ship.
Access on and off the ship during ports was quick and painless, as well as the debarkation process. Can definitely say this is the first cruise that has not resulted in long lines either on or off the ship, which was a refreshing change!
